Prior to coaching I worked as a teacher. I got into teaching in 2011 when I worked as an ESL Teacher in South Korea for two years. Teaching in South Korea prompted me to do my PGCE with the hope of teaching in my home country. I taught for 1 year in my country and quickly realised that at that time it was not suited for me. I then transitioned into ESL online teaching and did that for about 6/7 years, I really enjoyed it as it gave me an opportunity to connect with people in a meaningful manner, I was enabling others which I enjoyed and l was learning too about different industries, cultures and professions. Although I was enjoying what I was doing I had anxiety, lacked confidence and low self-esteem especially when teaching people who I consider having a better profession than me, I felt intimidated. This coupled with many other factors I decided I no longer wanted to feel this way and wanted to improve myself and grow, and so I did and I enrolled myself into a life coaching course that gave me so much more than I expected, I began to understand and see things in a new perspective. One of the greatest gifts that teaching online has given was that my interpersonal communication improved so much. I learned that even though someone is well educated and has a ‘fancy’ job title they too have their insecurities and that a doctor, dentist etc. at the end of the day is a person/human too (with the help of the course I was able to see this) What I learned and overcame during my coaching course propelled me to share what I have learned and start my coaching business.

As a young woman entrepreneur, what changes do you hope to see in the world and what opportunities are you seeking?
I hope to see many more women standing up for themselves, making themselves a priority and leading a life that makes them happy, regardless of how it may look to the outside world. Doing things that set their soul on fire and bring them happiness. I hope more women find the courage to become the best versions of themselves by letting go of those things that are no longer serving them. I hope that young girls learn from early childhood that they are worthy, deserving and are taught how to love themselves. I am seeking to connect with women across the world who are interested in self-development and who wish or are making an impact in their communities through their own initiatives.
Women now stand shoulder-to-shoulder with men in the workplace, breaking through glass ceilings to reach the top. What are your thoughts on women’s leadership today?
Women should definitely not fear taking up space and should continue to go into spaces that have been previously male dominated. Women should continue to strive to break boundaries, there should be equality and equal opportunities. There are many women out there doing remarkable things for their countries and communities. Women leadership is what we need to teach the younger generations about so that they too know that you don’t need to stay within a box and you can do anything you set your mind to.
