Empowering Dreams: A Journey with The Forward Female

Priscilla Presley is the CEO & Executive Business Development Coach at The Forward Female. A coaching and creative agency helping ambitious women around the world build businesses and communities – easier and quicker.

Tell us about your life before the venture/ leading up to your venture?

I am a Texas girl, born and raised, but growing up I always had big dreams. From a young age, I had big dreams of one day working in the entertainment industry and living in Los Angeles, CA. I was fortunate enough to have a lot of incredible support growing up and opportunities to I worked at my high school TV station, volunteer at local TV-News networks, and even receive a full-ride scholarship to The University of North Texas to study broadcast journalism and digital media to hone my craft and get the experience I needed to see my dreams be fulfilled. Through my college years, I was able to get incredible hands-on industry experience working at my college television station, The Ryan Seacrest Foundation, and on the marketing team with Red Bull North America, which helped me get my first really big break directly after graduation to work at Warner Brothers and The Television Academy in Los Angeles, CA (a dream come true moment). I quickly worked my way up the corporate ladder after landing in Los Angeles and had incredible opportunities to interview some of my favorite celebrities, produce multi-million dollar partnerships with some of my favorite brands, and work with some of the most talented people in the industry – but in many ways, I was still left feeling unfulfilled and that I had a larger purpose to be discovered. I went on a mission to discover my purpose and ended up having the opportunity to work with other incredible companies like Bumble Inc. on their marketing teams. With Bumble I was able to join the team as they were launching their BumbleBizz and BumbleBFF initiatives. I loved the mission of their company “help women make the first move” and connected with their messaging like “be the CEO your parents always wanted you to marry”. Through my time working at both Warner Brothers and Bumble I met so many inspirational women and grew my network dramatically and it started to become more and more clear what my true purpose was – I just needed to find the right opportunity to help me see it through. Through this self-discovery and networking, the opportunity presented itself in a way I couldn’t have ever imagined. I met two women that would change my life forever, the two co-founders of my future business, Lauren Cheek and NJ Falk. After many conversations and glasses of rosé between us, The Forward Female was born. We all connected and agreed that women needed more support. They needed more resources and they needed more education to help them achieve the things they desired. We knew there was a massive gap for women and we knew we wanted to help solve it. That was back in 2019, and a lot has happened since those first conversations, but now I can confidently say I am living the most fulfilled and purpose-driven life that I was searching for and getting to help others do the same. It’s kinda the best job ever.

Tell us something about your organization. What is it about and how is it helpful for people?

Forward Female has become a transformative, safe space for female entrepreneurs to build their businesses and foster authentic communities. We are a coaching and creative agency and global female entrepreneurial network providing both emerging entrepreneurs and established brands with everything they need to succeed. We provide the guidance and strategy through our business development and marketing coaching programs, the design and implementation within the creative agency, and the essential network you need to grow through our memberships and events. We understand how difficult it is to wear all of the hats and feel like you have to know everything about business before even getting your business off the ground, which is why we decided to build a space that made it a little easier. We noticed that there was nothing that was really providing the guidance on how to actually create a business, provide you with everything you needed to get it started, and connect you with a community to support and accountability you needed along the way – so we built it. We organize monthly events to facilitate networking and provide valuable resources for business development. Our community offers accountability and encourages discussions on various business and mindset topics. Weekly meetings empower individuals to reach new heights and stay on track with their goals. In addition to our creative agency, we offer services for business development, website design, branding, and marketing. Our coaching programs provide guidance throughout the entrepreneurial journey, with a focus on business development and marketing. We are also excited to announce that as of June 2023, we have launched the Her Next Big Move podcast, where we share tips, tricks, and conversations with inspiring women in the industry. We are committed to evolving and helping more women realize their dreams. The future holds exciting possibilities for our next big move!

What has been the response of the consumers towards your venture?

Over the past four years, we have grown our business tremendously. Not only have we grown as an agency but as a community. We have built a community of female entrepreneurs that supports one another and comes together to see each and every person succeed. As we have built this community, we have built longtime supporters of our brand as well. It has only been through their support that we have been able to expand and enter into new ventures, like our podcast that just recently launched.

How has your life changed because of your venture?

I couldn’t imagine a life that doesn’t involve being a business owner and pursuing my passion every single day. I have met the most incredible women and had so many life changing experiences through this journey. It’s the most fulfilling job I’ve ever had and why I am so passionate about helping others do the same. Seeing my vision come to life, time and time again, and proving to myself that I am capable is indescribable and helped me never want to go back to working a “regular job” ever again. It’s a risk to be a business owner and it’s a risk to not be a business owner. But what you have to do in life, is ask yourself what risk are you willing to take and let that help you as you are guided in your life’s direction. I can’t imagine a life without The Forward Female and look forward to continuing this journey with the strongest women by my side.

What are you working on right now?

We just recently launched our podcast and have been dedicated to seeing it grow. We want to reach as many women as possible to provide them with the education, inspiration, and real tangible tools needed to succeed in the world of business. My Co-Founder, Lauren and I host the show every Monday and we want to bring clarity to new and seasoned business owners, break down limitations and give a solid strategy to build your dream life and business. We dive into deep conversations with industry trailblazers to cover tangible tools needed for success and teach listeners how to achieve their next big move! We really want to reach as many women as possible because each episode brings such a different perspective on both business and personal development. We really see this as a way to help women succeed and give them the motivation and tools they need to build out their dream life, because it is achievable!

No matter where you are, when you are reading this or who you are; know that living and creating the life that you have always dreamed of is possible. Your dreams don’t need to stay as dreams, they can become reality. Know that even if we haven’t met, we are your biggest cheerleaders here to support you every step of the way!
