Sarah Jones
Sarah Jones is the Founder of Full Circle Funerals and Professional Coach.
She tells us that, “I started my professional life as a medic and now run the funeral care company that I founded in 2016. We have four services in Yorkshire, UK and we deliver thoughtful, emotionally intelligent funeral care so people get the support that they need when they are dying or grieving.
I gained my first coaching qualification in 2021 and have been coaching founders and executives since then. As an NLP Master Practitioner and Professional Coach I help people to clarify and work towards achieving their goals.
I am a wife and mum of two children – and spend my free time doing yoga, walking or making pots in my home pottery studio.”
Tell us about your life before the venture/ leading up to your venture?
Before starting Full Circle Funerals I worked as a surgeon in the NHS. Then I owned and ran residential services for adults with learning difficulties and sold my business in 2014.
I started a coaching course because people were asking me if I would coach them and I didn’t want to do that without feeling confident that I had the knowledge and skills to do that well. Since then I have coached many different people with positive outcomes and done more and more courses.
Tell us something about your organization. What is it about and how is it helpful for people?
Full Circle Funerals gives people the personalised and flexible support that they need to create a funeral which is right for them.

How has your life changed because of your venture?
Working as a funeral director is very life enhancing – talking about death and dying can really help you to appreciate the smaller things in life, and value the people around you.
Becoming a professional coach has completely transformed my life in ways I never imagined. It has given me a deep sense of purpose, allowing me to help others unlock their potential while growing alongside them. The journey of guiding others through their challenges, watching them evolve, and empowering them to reach their goals has brought an immense level of fulfillment. Coaching has not only deepened my empathy and self-awareness but has also opened doors to new opportunities, relationships, and perspectives. It’s been a beautiful, transformative experience—one that has enriched my life both personally and professionally.
What are you working on right now?
Supporting others at Full Circle Funerals with their professional development so that together we can deliver the best possible support.
Right now, I am also working on developing my coaching portfolio. To date, everyone I coach has reached out to me via a personal recommendation. I need to start thinking about building my online presence as a coach to build my coaching business.
Give a motivational message for the audience/women who are reading this.
Set goals that excite and challenges you, and take that first step with courage. Every small action brings you closer to achieving your dreams. Surround yourself with people who believe in your vision and are willing to support you, even if it means offering you some tough feedback along the way. True supporters are the ones who push you to grow, even when the truth is hard to hear. Stay focused, stay resilient, and trust the process—you’re capable of more than you know.
