Jasmine Garner is a 30 years old Dual-Certified Body Image and Self-Esteem Coach. Currently, she lives in Texas with her 2 year old son and is a fan of iced mocha coffee.
What were your initial years of growing up like? Tell us about your life before starting your corporate journey/venture/initiative.
I come from a large family, I have 7 other siblings. Growing up was a little unstable but we still managed to have a great time. My grandmother was a big part of keeping our family together and she was a pillar of faith for us.
Every industry that is now a large-scale, top-notch business once started as a small idea in the minds of entrepreneurs. What was that idea or motivation that made you start your business /initiative? What motivated you within to say YES, go for it!”
Well, one day I asked my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, “What am I here to do?” I changed my career options over 10 times and I never felt good about my choices. And He kept giving me these thoughts that wouldn’t go away until He finally told me to start a modesty ministry that would help women with their body image.
Would you like to share with our young budding women entrepreneurs the change you would like to see in the world if given an opportunity?
Yes, I’d love to see women of all nations know how loved they are by God. I want them to know that they are created in God’s image and their worth was given by Him, no one has the power to take that away from them.
Women are a growing force in the workplaces worldwide, standing shoulder to shoulder with their male counterparts. There are cracks in glass ceilings everywhere, with many women breaking through to carve out a space right at the top of the pyramid. What are your thoughts about women leadership today?
I love to see women rising in leadership. There are so many world-changers that God has placed here on earth and He has a calling for women, too.
What’s the most important thing you have learned in your personal life and professional journey? What is your personal motto in life?
The most important thing I’ve learned this far is to fear the Lord, respect Him and listen to Him. His ways are not burdensome, but they give life and it helps us grow into who we’re supposed to be. My personal motto is to always give thanks.
With your grit and determination, you are making a considerable impact, breaking through, and serving as role models for many budding entrepreneurs. What would you want to say to our young women leaders/audience reading this?
You are called to do something specific and unique. No one else can do it how YOU can. You don’t need to be perfect or super confident, you just need to say yes and take one step at a time.
