Madelaine Gomes is the founder of the “I AM” POSSIBLE Foundation NPO, – leads young adults towards a better future through self-healing, finding purpose, and discovering their gifts to develop a successful business.
What were your initial years of growing up like? Tell us about your life before starting your corporate journey/venture/initiative.
I grew up in a house of storms with a father who was an alcoholic and a mother who did not want me. I had to find my inner strength, purpose, and talents and develop them to achieve the level of success I achieved.
Every industry that is now a large-scale, top-notch business once started as a small idea in the minds of entrepreneurs. What was that idea or motivation that made you start your business /initiative? What motivated you within to say YES, go for it!”
Discovering what I am passionate about made me a success and paved the way for me forward on how to have impact and influence, leading others to their success. It is not how big you go it is about the difference you make to others and the return on investment you achieve through that.
Would you like to share with our young budding women entrepreneurs the change you would like to see in the world if given an opportunity?
I would LOVE TO DO SO!
Women are a growing force in the workplaces worldwide, standing shoulder to shoulder with their male counterparts. There are cracks in glass ceilings everywhere, with many women breaking through to carve out a space right at the top of the pyramid. What are your thoughts about women leadership today?
I lead women’s leadership workshops. I firmly believe that women make exceptional leaders because of their deep understanding of human design and ability to navigate multiple dimensions. Trusting intuition is a crucial aspect of leadership, and I emphasize its significance in my workshops. In today’s world, we need strong yet nurturing leadership to heal and guide businesses in new directions. Let’s empower women to lead the change we seek.
What’s the most important thing you have learned in your personal life and professional journey? What is your personal motto in life?
Overcoming the fear of not being good enough. My motto is transforming the impossible into “I AM” POSSIBLE!
With your grit and determination, you are making a considerable impact, breaking through, and serving as role models for many budding entrepreneurs. What would you want to say to our young women leaders/audience reading this?
Do not compare yourself to others. Honor your uniqueness, compassion, passion, and values, and design your life and business with these qualities, and you will fly like an eagle. The moment you compare yourself and feel not good enough, you present yourself as a watered-down version of yourself, which will lead to cracks in your foundation later.
