Lacy Lieffers is a Book Marketer, Author Coach, and the Owner of Black Fox Marketing. But above that, she is a storyteller, dreamer, and advocate for the authentic self.

She has a passion for empowering writers to share their stories with the world, and her goal is to inspire aspiring writers and established authors alike to find their voice and share their unique perspective with the world.

Tell us about your life before the venture/ leading up to your venture?

I grew up in a small town, rural Saskatchewan in Canada which was where my sense of adventure and my vivid imagination was formed.

Through all my years, I’ve always had a love for storytelling, from writing short stories and books as a child, to being the go-to editor for school projects, to always having a layer of writing throughout my marketing career, to soon realizing that my true calling was working with authors exclusively.

I have over 16 years of sales and marketing experience, helping entrepreneurs and national and global businesses strengthen their brands, gain more visibility, create an experience for their audience and clients, attract more leads, and generate more revenue.

Over 8 years ago, I followed my passions and founded my first company, an editing and marketing firm, where I helped authors shape and share their stories to their readers, and I’m so proud to say that over 90% of the books I worked with achieved bestseller status, with many of them winning global awards in their categories. So I’m no stranger to coaching authors and writing, publishing, and marketing books.

Then, over 3 years ago, I founded Black Fox Marketing so I could expand my marketing service offerings. I am now dedicated to helping authors immortalize their legacy and sell more books.

Tell us something about your organization. What is it about and how is it helpful for people?

My programs are designed to help authors master the art of authorpreneurship and build a sustainable, profitable business around their writing. 

I work directly with authors to help them develop a powerful brand, create a loyal audience, and master the ability to sell more books and make a bigger impact with their message.

From crafting your brand to expanding your reach, making a bigger impact with your message, increasing your income, creating multiple revenue streams, automating your processes, my program is designed to provide the support and guidance you need to achieve your goals.

What has been the response of the consumers towards your venture?

The clarity gained on one’s authentic self and the strength found in their own (brand) voice as they grow through my program is always my favourite part to see.

Clients join because they have an amazing book and a beautiful message, yet they struggle to get it out into the world — their goal is to impact as many lives as possible through their words, yet they aren’t getting the reach that they want and they lack the confidence and knowledge to shape their message in a way that will stand out amongst the noise.

From day 1, there is clarity and a new level of confidence born (not to mention the knowledge of how to successfully run their “authorpreneur” venture) that transcends long past the final day of us working together.

How has your life changed because of your venture?

Branching out on my own has been nothing short of amazing — it’s had its peaks and valleys, and through it all I continue to come out of every challenge stronger and more sure of myself and my purpose. I’ve been fortunate to find some amazing mentors and coaches that have helped ME grow and expand on my never ending journey, and I could not be happier to be able to do the same for those that join my programs.

My journey to become a marketing coach for authors started with a realization that I could combine my love for writing with my marketing skills to help other writers achieve their goals. And for me, there’s nothing more rewarding than helping authors to tell their stories, connect with their readers, and achieve their publishing dreams – because when authors thrive, the literary world is all the richer.

No matter what that inner narrative tells you, you are worthy, you are qualified, you have value (as you currently are), your passions and dreams are worth fighting for, and you are damn well worth investing in.
