Tell us about your life before the venture/ leading up to your venture?
I worked in administrative and operations roles in the financial services industry for over a decade prior to my transition into the tech industry.
Tell us something about your organization. What is it about and how is it helpful for people?
My organization is an extension of my existing public speaking and consulting endeavors as it relates to diversity, equity and inclusion. I have had the opportunity to speak to a wide range of audiences and help them solidify their understanding of diversity, equity and inclusion.
What has been the response of the consumers towards your venture?
The response has been overwhelmingly positive! I think what’s been the most impactful was helping already strong DEI advocates and allies become even better in their work.
How has your life changed because of your venture?
It’s made me more empathetic and compassionate towards others. Designing and implementing DEI initiatives and programs can be challenging – financially, time wise and emotionally. No one will ever have all the answers, and sometimes we will get things wrong. But as long as we keep going and striving to be better, DEI programs get even stronger and better.
Give a motivational message for the audience/women who are reading this.
Always bet on yourself to succeed. As women, we tend to not see the greatness within us and how powerful we are. Whatever your endeavors may be, know that you have what it takes!
