Helen McGuire
Helen McGuire is a Co-founder and CEO of D&I tech platform, Diversely, and mum of 3. Previously, she worked in content production at the BBC and then in global PR, marketing and advertising. After having her first baby back in 2014, she noticed women especially struggling to get back into work in the Middle East, so she started her own women’s careers platform. That grew globally over 4 years and Diversely is the data-driven solution that resulted from her experience with that business.
Tell us something about your organization. What is it about and how is it helpful for people?
Diversely takes bias out of the recruitment process for businesses globally. We audit, track and improve D&I data and outcomes using AI technology through our platform. The outcome is to level the playing field for under-represented talent groups, like women, those from varying ethnic backgrounds and those with disabilities, for example. For businesses, it means they can improve their internal D&I strategy and diversity of their company.
What has been the response of the consumers towards your venture?
We are a multi-award winning, globally recognised business. Myself and my co-founder have also been awarded over our time in business. Our clients have included Cisco, Visa, McCann and Allegis Global Solutions. We have raised over half a million USD to build our platform and grow our business. We are a remote first business, with our teams working across the world to support businesses in the US, UK, Europe and Asia.
How has your life changed because of your venture?
I am very lucky to be able to balance my home and work life. I have three small children under 8 years old and live in Dubai with my family. It means I can continue to realise my ambition to contribute to D&I solutions, build our networks with valuable partners globally and support my children’s schooling, development, and our family life together.
