What were your initial years of growing up like? Tell us about your life before starting your corporate journey/venture/initiative.
Growing up I was creative. I loved to help tidy and organize family and friends spaces. Along the way I worked in customer service, as a nanny, a surgical assistant, a Police Officer, and now business owner. I also attended school graduating with an Associate of Arts, a Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice, and a Master’s in Criminal Justice. I am so grateful for all the opportunities and growth I have encountered along the way. They have all guided me to where I am today.
Every industry that is now a large-scale, top-notch business once started as a small idea in the minds of entrepreneurs. What was that idea or motivation that made you start your business /initiative? What motivated you within to say YES, go for it!”
My first thought to become a Professional Organizer appeared in late 2010. It was not the time or place for me to start my own business, so fast forward to January 2020 when the idea appeared again. I ran with it and started searching groups on Facebook and came across a group called Jumpstart to be a Professional Organizer. I began working with the Admin of the group who coached women to start their own professional organizing businesses. I registered for my LLC in February 2020 and I am still going strong today. I am helping clients to get their lives back through organized homes and that means the world to me.
Tell us something about your initiative or current role. What is it about, and what impact are you trying to make?
My initiative is to inspire, educate, and empower others to achieve their greatest goals and desires for themselves. I serve others with their physical spaces as well as mind, body, and spirit. I am a Volunteer Coordinator for Life of Joy Foundation – “Fostering a holistic approach to mental health and suicide prevention.” Mental health matters and is so necessary to support our overall wellness.
Your journey and your vision are very inspiring, but are there any achievements or accomplishments you would like to mention?
Some of my achievements include: life coaching, health coaching, transformational coaching certifications; creating my first e-book: 10 Ways to Declutter Your Home & Mind; creating my own website; feature article in Baltimore Real Producers.
Would you like to share with our young budding women entrepreneurs the change you would like to see in the world if given an opportunity?
We all matter and we can all make a difference in the world.
Women are a growing force in the workplaces worldwide, standing shoulder to shoulder with their male counterparts. There are cracks in glass ceilings everywhere, with many women breaking through to carve out a space right at the top of the pyramid. What are your thoughts about women leadership today?
Women have more power and support today to achieve things above and beyond what they could ever have achieved before.
What would you want to say to our young women leaders/audience reading this?
Anything is possible when you pour your heart, soul, and passion into it and you have the community support behind you to help you achieve your greatest goals.
