Ilene Carol
Ilene Carol is the CEO of ICE Media Entertainment and Publisher of Women’s Quarterly Magazine. For over 20 years, she has helped authors, professional athletes, entertainers, small businesses, and non-profits maximize their potential growth using proven marketing strategies. Her company has worked with several colleges to prepare students to work within a corporate setting and showing the students how to create a professional resume.
Tell us about your life before the venture/ leading up to your venture?
I was in Operations Management for several fortune 500 companies. My responsibility was to hire, train, and motivate employee personnel. In addition to providing solutions that would ultimately increase profit margin, as well as conduct internal audits to assess any company losses and find more economical solutions. Leading up to the venture, I made the decision that I wanted to have my own business and so I put a plan of action into place to eventually have my own corporation.
Tell us something about your organization. What is it about and how is it helpful for people?
ICE Media Entertainment is a dynamic media and divergent thinking marketing company producing creative content in radio, print, digital, video, and social media. Our solutions are in-house, and we pride ourselves in working closely, one-on-one with our clients and treating their projects like a trusted partnership and listen to what goals they want to achieve instead of forcing the latest trends on the client.
Women’s Quarterly Magazine was created to assist in supporting and empowering women worldwide. The magazine gives women a platform to share their personal stories and success and to talk about their business. This is especially helpful to those women who own a business that is online versus a local store front. The exposure from the internet gives them access not only to our readers but on a larger scale by marketing online in a magazine.
What has been the response of the consumers towards your venture?
Ever since we started Women’s Quarterly Magazine, almost 3 years ago, the positive response and feedback has been phenomenal. People from the US, UK, Australia, India, and Canada are engaged with the brand and are loyal supporters. What is amazing to me, even though this is a magazine to empower women, just how many men have been supporting us. They want to be in the magazine too. It is really nice to see a man not only purchase the magazine and then take a photo of it and share it on social media.
How has your life changed because of your venture?
Well, I’m definitely getting a lot more emails. LOL! I feel this venture has blessed me with connections, like this one, that I would have never had prior to launching this magazine. I’m also learning how to relate to younger generations.
Give a motivational message for the audience/women who are reading this.
Everyone has a story and serves a purpose in life. Don’t ever feel unworthy to sit at the table, whatever that symbolic table means for you. You have every right to be there and share your voice.
